GOD: JESUS - Son of God

Luke 1:30-32 |
“Don’t be afraid, Mary,” the angel told her, “for you have found favor with God! You will conceive and give birth to a son, and you will name him Jesus. He will be very great and will be called the Son of the Most High. The Lord God will give him the throne of his ancestor David.

Matthew 3:16-17 | After his baptism, as Jesus came up out of the water, the heavens were opened and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and settling on him. And a voice from heaven said, “This is my dearly loved Son, who brings me great joy.”

John 3:16-17 | “For this is how God loved the world: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life. God sent his Son into the world not to judge the world, but to save the world through him.

  1. What are some ways Jesus (God the Son) is different than God the Father?
  2. How does God the Father feel about Jesus - His only Son?
  3. God gave Jesus - His only Son - to take the punishment for your sin. What does this show you about God’s love for you?
  4. What does it mean to “believe” in Jesus? Is salvation given to anyone who believes Jesus existed? Why or why not?
