FELLOWSHIP - Encourages maturity

Proverbs 27:17 | As iron sharpens iron, so a friend sharpens a friend.

Hebrews 10:23-25 | Let us hold tightly without wavering to the hope we affirm, for God can be trusted to keep his promise. Let us think of ways to motivate one another to acts of love and good works. And let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage one another, especially now that the day of his return is drawing near.

  1. What does it look like to meet together with other believers in fellowship? Can you go to church without true fellowship?
  2. Do you feel close to other believers? If so, who? If not, why?
  3. Reread Hebrews 10:24. Believers in true fellowship think of ways to encourage others to do acts of what two things?
  4. Hebrews shows us that fellowship is others-focused, not me-focused. Are you doing your part, loving and encouraging others in true fellowship? If so, who? If not, why?
  5. We are not to neglect meeting with others for the sake of true fellowship. Who do you have true fellowship with? Are you making this a priority in your own life?
