Beliefs
The Bible
- We believe in the divine inspiration and inerrancy of scripture.
- We believe the Bible is the governing authority in the life of every believer in Jesus as well as the purpose and function of Christ’s church.
- We believe that all preaching of the Word is to be founded solely upon the content of scripture.
God
- God is the only one true God and is the Creator, Sustainer and Ruler of the Universe.
- God is eternally existent in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
The Holy Spirit
- The Holy Spirit is the 2nd person of the Trinity and is Co-Equal with God the Father and the Son.
- In the Bible we find that the Holy Spirit is active in creation, the inspiration of scripture, convicting man of sin, and regenerating the repentant sinner.
Jesus Christ
- Jesus Christ is the 3rd person in the Trinity and is Co-Equal with God the Father and the Holy Spirit.
- We believe that Jesus was born of a virgin, conceived by the Holy Spirit, and was God in the flesh who voluntarily became obedient to the Father.
- Jesus Christ lived a sinless human life and offered Himself as a perfect sacrifice for the sin of man by dying on the cross.
- Jesus Christ rose from the dead after three days and ascended to Heaven and will return again for the rescue of all believers.
Satan
- We believe that according to the scriptures, Satan is an angel created by God.
- Through the sin of pride he rebelled against God and was cast out of Heaven. Satan is currently active in the present world and is described in the scriptures as; a murderer, the father of lies, a devouring lion, and the ruler of all demonic forces.
- Satan was ultimately conquered by Christ on the cross and is destined to be condemned to an everlasting punishment in the Lake of Fire.
Man
- We believe that Man was created in the image of God according to the scriptures.
- Man of his own volition violated the commandments of God thus bringing sin into the world.
- The sin condition of mankind cannot be changed apart from the divine work of God’s grace in a repentant sinner’s life.
Salvation
- We believe in the salvation of sinners only through faith in the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
- Salvation is totally and completely dependent upon the Grace of God, it is a free gift accepted by faith alone and cannot be earned or merited in any way.
- We believe that God secures the salvation of the believer for eternity and therefore cannot be lost or retracted by the effort of any power in the universe seen and unseen.
The Church
- We believe the church is the unified body of believers in Christ throughout the world.
- The local church is the physical gathering of believers in a specific geographical area, through whom God works to carry out the Great Commission which is to: Preach the Gospel, Baptize, and Make Disciples.
